Resin or PLA: what we print with

Most hobby printers use PLA, a plastic filament. We print in resin instead, and the reason is detail.

A filament printer lays down lines about 0.4 mm wide. On a 4 cm monster that is the width of an eyelid. A resin printer cures layers 0.05 mm thick, which is what lets Snaggle have three distinct eyes rather than one smudge.

Resin needs more care: gloves, ventilation, washing and curing. We think the monsters are worth it.
